The School of Education and Social Sciences (SESS) is the younger of the two Schools of KAG EAST University; the other being School of Bible and Theology (SBT).

The School was launched in September of 2020 and is domiciled at Kitengela Campus. It comprises four departments; Education, Business Administration, Counselling Psychology and Community Development. Before its launch, the departments were run independently but are now under one umbrella. The School is headed by a Dean of School, who manages it together with other members of the School Board.

The School’s programmes and activities are streamlined to the Mission, Vision, Core Values and Philosophy of KAG EAST University.

SESS offers robust, relevant and dynamic programmes which are tailored towards meeting present and future needs of the nation and world. This together with an excellent learning environment and faculty is aimed at impacting knowledge, skills and attitude for competitive competence.

In order to produce holistic servant leaders, learning is complemented with spiritual and emotional well-being through Chapel, counselling and mentorship services. The learners’ social and physical aspects are also well augmented through co-curricular activities such as clubs, trips and sports.

SESS has embraced On-line learning. Towards this end, there is reliable internet on the campus, collaboration with internet service providers for affordable data and online learning in all the programs. Students can choose from In-person, Online, and Blended Learning as it suits them. This has made it possible for learners to access the programs of their choice on campus or from the conveniences of their localities.
