Chaplaincy

Welcome to KAG EAST University Chaplaincy Services

At KAG EAST University, the spiritual life of the university community is paramount. Spiritual life is core to the vision and the mission of KAGEU. 2 Peter 3:18 says, “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” In that regard, the university keenly provides opportunities to enrich the lives of the students and faculty within the university.

KAG EAST University has a dedicated fulltime chaplain in charge of chaplaincy. Rev. Harris Gichuhi, an ordained minister serving with Kenya Assemblies of God (KAG) has a vast experience in Bible School training and leadership as well as pastoring the body of Christ.

Under his department, KAGEU offers weekly Chapel services in both campuses. Every Semester, each campus hosts a Spiritual Emphasis Week where the University community engages in extended times of prayer, praise and worship, and listening to God’s Word.

The weekly Chapel services are characterized by vibrant praise and worship from the University choir and hearty preaching from the faculty and guest speakers. The times are as follows:

Buruburu Campus: Mondays 11:30 am to 1.00pm and Wednesdays 11:30 am to 1.00pm.

Kitengela Campus: Tuesdays 11:30 am to 1.00pm and Thursdays 11:30 am to 1.00pm.

Additionally, the KAGEU community receives spiritual nurture from the Chaplain’s office. Upon booking an appointment, students and faculty receive individualized care from the chaplain.

Welcome and let us be transformed together.

Dr. Rev. Harris Gichuhi
