BISHOP PHILIP KITOTO SABWA
Rev. Philip Kitoto Sabwa is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God – Kenya. He has served as an Electronic Engineer, Technical Teacher and Departmental head of a school before moving into a Pastoral Assistant role in 1997 at International Christian Center (ICC), Nairobi. He served ICC as Executive Pastor from 2002 to 2007. He became Senior Pastor of ICC from 2007 to 2017. During his time the church grew from one location to 5 locations in Nairobi. He also helped plant a church in Mombasa and Dubai. In the year 2017, he transitioned his role to various 5 senior pastors.
Pastor Kitoto started Jabali Christian Schools located in Nairobi in 2011. He has also served on various boards including being the Chairperson of Zinduka Africa, an ICC NGO and Treasurer of ALARM, an African NGO involved in conflict management in Africa. In addition, Kitoto has served as Kenya Assemblies of God (KAG) Presbyter; District Superintendent for Nairobi, the General Secretary, and the Vice Chancellor of KAG East University. From 2018, Bishop Kitoto was elected to serve as the General Superintendent of Kenya Assemblies of God. He also currently serves as the Chancellor of KAG East University.
He is an author of several books on relationships and marriage. He has also written on discipleship. He is also weekly columnist on Daily Nation Newspapers, which he has done for the last 12 years. He is resourceful conference speaker and coach on relationships.
Philip Kitoto is married to Dinah, and together they have been blessed with 5 grown-up children and 2 grandchildren. He is passionate about preparation and empowerment of emerging leaders, leadership growth and development, reaching and discipling the next generation, strengthening families, and church multiplication.
